Flag Towers Over School
Pride - yes, it is with great pride and joy that I now see a large American flag flying over Chiaramonte Elementary School. Oh, by the way, did you know that it is a cell phone tower? Yes, Maria Valenti, the proud principal of Chiaramonte, has made this happen. Not only has she given us this awesome flag to view with great pride as we travel down Himes Avenue, she has also found a source of revenue that directly benefits the children of this jewel of a school.
The revenue gathered from the cell phone tower benefits the children with the purchase of needed school equipment and other items. And you don't need to go down Himes Avenue to view the flag; it can quite readily be seen as you travel South Dale Mabry near Oklahoma Avenue. How nice for our solders to see as they go to MacDill Air Force Base for work, as well as when the planes fly in and out of the base.
